Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what Sard collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Sard is a voice-to-notes app that turns what you say, in Arabic or English, into notes and tasks.

Information you give us

Account details such as your name and email address when you sign in.

The voice recordings you capture, and the transcripts, notes, and meeting notes created from them, along with any tasks, reminders, or text you add or edit.

Information from connected services

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, we access the calendar data needed to create and sync the events you ask Sard to add. You can disconnect at any time from Settings.

Information collected automatically

Basic device and usage information such as app version, device type, and diagnostic logs that help us keep Sard reliable.

How we use your information

To turn your voice into text on your device, create and organise your notes, tasks, and meetings, sync them across your devices and the services you connect, provide support, and improve the app. We do not sell your personal information.

Voice and transcription

Transcription happens on your device. When you record, Sard converts your speech to text locally on your iPhone — the audio is not sent to our servers or to any third-party speech-to-text service to be transcribed. Your recordings, transcripts, notes, and tasks are saved to your account so you can review, edit, and sync them across your devices.

Service providers we use

We rely on infrastructure and processing partners, including Google Firebase and Google Cloud, to authenticate accounts, store your content, and run app services. These providers process data on our instructions.

Data retention

We keep your content while your account is active. You can delete individual notes and tasks in the app, or delete your account to remove your data. See our account deletion page for how.

Your rights and choices

You can access and edit your content in the app, export or delete it, disconnect integrations, and request account deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children's privacy

Sard is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, with appropriate safeguards in place.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the date above and, where appropriate, noted in the app.
